How Strong is Macrocarpa

Macrocarpa is considered to have similiar strength to radiata pine.

Where structural timber is required MacDirect visually grade all timber into the No. 1 framing grade. This means it will have a verified strength of VSG6.

A full set of House Tables exists in the light timber framing standard NZ3604 for the No.1 framing grade

Engineers have tested and verified our timber as VSG8.  This can be done at clients instigation.  .
